I can't be trusted in specialty food stores

Because my budget gets flushed. I came back with sushi and so many cheese. OH SO many cheeses. I want cheese now. Of course I always want cheese. I could probably be bought for cheese.

So I got my comic books and since I had to pay to park I put it on for 2 hours so I could sit in the Donkey, the coffee shop next door to the Wizard's Guild and man, that was almost a mistake. I wanted my money's worth so I stood on line for a HALF HOUR for that damn coffee. (I never did figure out what they were giving away to generate that much patronage at 230 in the afternoon on a nice saturday....

Luckily I found a seat and claimed it til my quarters ran out of the meter in the parking lot. I didn't bother going online because that's what I need. Sometimes I can get shit done IF I keep myself off line. In fact I wrote so much it was silly. I finished my chocolate box story. Oh I still have to add in enemytosleep's suggestions but at least draft one is done.

Then I went shopping (keep in mind that my comic book store, the Donkey, hell Athens itself which is a cool town are nearly 50 miles away so I make the most of my time there). Bought crap I didn't need. Realized I hadn't been to that Kroger's in nearly nine months and learned that the hard liquor area was gone (awwww) and the olive bar was gone (even louder awww). I picked up my San Andreas Fault pizza from Avalanche (an award winning pizza place). It's pesto, red sauce, red pepper, huge roasted garlics and artichokes. (and I hit it up with balsemic reduction drizzles too)

So in spite of me being sad that the wizard guild is gone, it was a good day (and my back relaxed if nothing else)

I wanted coffee so bad today and it was no go (they ban all caffeinated and/or electrolyte drinks at fights). Fancy coffee shop post makes me want it more. T_T

Ugh and pizza sounds amazing as well. All I've had are three oranges since lunch and I think I'm just going to go to bed soon because fuck cooking food right now.

Oh ugh. I can see why no caffeine but what's the philosophy behind no electrolyte drinks? (also no one wants to see me uncaffeinated because I'm that addicted)

Pizza was delicious, yes it was. No regrets. Don't blame you for skipping out on dinner though (something else I can no longer do safely but still sometimes do).

I'm note sure? My first guess was that like caffeine, they don't want people overloaded on potassium in the middle of an adrenaline dump? I also think some of the newer drinks can also be caffeinated (like some of the smart waters), so they just do a blanket ban on it all to keep it easy?

Yeah I don't like skipping meals either, but sometimes these events sort of force it. Oh well, I had a hearty breakfast this morning and the boys both have belts.

That might be. I mean, the whole point of those drinks is to replenish what is lost in stuff like this but that said potassium overload can cause serious harm (hear me students? WHY are you drinking this in class while sitting on your backsides?)

They only ban them at the event so from 4pm check in until after you fight. You have 24 hours from weigh ins to eat/drink as you like before check in. Obviously it can’t eliminate the risks entirely of people overloading, but as far as liability goes they can say they don’t allow those subsrances. But if we can get a coffee station for the coaches? I’d be much, much happier hahaha

It was super nice here today so the puppies enjoyed a good walk.

At the tournament (4 days long) I had my assistant bring ice coffee and I’d drink it in the parking lot. xD This was too short of a timeframe and a big fight so I couldn’t leave him alone to consume contraband. He’s lucky I love him...

Ah that sounds like a plan. And yes, he is. Speaking of which have you seen the anime megalobox? (Cartoon Network has it on) I find it a bit ridiculous but that's pretty much me and any movie about boxing.
