Thankfully my parents' house is on a huge hill because we'd probably be swimming by now. It's been raining for a week without a break. God knows if I have an apartment left back home.

We didn't go in to see Mom today because there was 1001 various health care pros in with her. She seemed to be doing okay on any of her 100 phone calls (go buy milk, she tells me as I come in the door from having gone out to buy milk), the podiatrist said the MPJ joint (where the toe joins the foot) looked good and she didn't think the infection got into it (which is literally the best we could hope for). We still have to wait on the cultures to know for sure, so still hoping and waiting.

Sorry about the non-stop rain. I'd glad you trade you that weather for the mix of dry/cold weather we're having.

I'm glad that the infection hasn't spread to that particular joint and hope the other tests come back clear.

I believe I stumbled across a tweet of Neil Gaiman's where he said that he hoped that Good Omen shippers have fun with fanfiction, which is pretty much an endorsement as any. Plus he considers his short story SHerlock Holmes/Lovecraft crossover to be fanfiction despite winning a Hugo for it so he's pro-fan fic.
