I will give my university something. They don't give off for Columbus day to celebrate a man who participated in genocide but they DO give off for MLK day. I am happy about that. They probably need a few more events on campus for it though.

My new company celebrates the MLK holiday but not President's Day or Columbus Day, so good on them too.
