Date: 2020-02-27 11:04 pm (UTC)I used to do Contest Week at fic_promptly back we the comm was active, basically fill as many prompts as possible for each day's set theme, so it was a case of find prompt, write fic, post fic, find prompt, on and on every day for a week, while still keeping up with other weekly and monthly challenges. My best was 65 in a week for the contest, no idea how many others I finished and posted for other challenges during the same period. Pressure can compel you to exceed what you believed yourself capable of, and I loved participating, but it was exhausting and I constantly felt I needed to do better and write more because I found I can be ridiculously competitive when other participants are ahead of me. Fun as it was, I'd just as soon not push myself that hard these days.
