I heard about Neowise the comet. You can read more here. Stargazing here is always a crapshoot. We have a lot of haze.

Clear skies except for exactly where I needed to look. I did see a bat. Later I went out and there was enough break up in the clouds. I didn't see very much, more like a hazy smear but I saw something because I don't like my chances of being here when Neowise returns in 6800 years.

I got all of my Human Anatomy class up. I decided I won't go home until Sunday unless things change. I can handle the written stuff on Ultra, leaving the recording for when I'm there.

My reading and writing mojo are so low right now. I need to get my butt moving on my Buffy bigbang. THank god I flipped my Pson story to the other bigbang in October.

And Happy Birthday to [personal profile] ozma914

Yeah, we drove up to the river on the northwest side of the island at twilight, but there was a thin scrim of clouds JUST where it might(?) have been, and there was still both reflected light from sunset AND light pollution from the Falls, so... We're going to try again tomorrow and Thursday nights, and if those don't work, we're going to get our asses out of bed pre-dawn Friday morning. I'm so glad you got to see it, though!
