Where'd Summer Go?

Good luck to all the students and instructors out there. I know most of us are starting back tomorrow (or soon after if we haven't already). I want to know where my summer went. It flew away without me.

Oddly even though I'm starting tomorrow teaching a class I've never taught before in a full time job none the less I'm not nervous. Nor am I excited. I'm oddly detached from the whole thing which has me a little worried. I'm not even angry over the fact that my computer's D drive is still glitching and the thumb drive can't be read (or maybe I don't know what i'm looking for. I've never used one before). Me, not getting at least a little steamed up is strange.

Not liking this. I couldn't even work up interest in pressing my dress clothes. Hopefully tomorrow will bring a new attitude.

You're not nervous because you've already had a crappy class & a good class. What's left to be nervous about?

Thanks. I appreciate it, ennui turned to annoyance last night. A cold front came thru so I wanted to open the windows and save on the a/c. three things happened
A) nothing I did made the fan for the a/c turn off
B) opening the windows made the road noise worse
C) it smelled like a skunk was outside my window.

I'm not apathetic any more. Kinda grumpy

Not to fret; it's pre-semester "letdown". The moment you walk into the building before your first class, the stomach thing will start. Then, once class gets going, bang! The excitement will be back!

Thanks. I'm still in the annoyance phase, realizing how fast my linen pants have gone to that bally snagging thing in the wears spots as I was ironing them. I'll just be happy if I can get all the media to work and not have 25 non-majors rolling their eyes at me.

And hope it goes well for you too. Is today yuor first day? Are you already there?
