Thanks to
evil_little_dog I now have the Angel: Live Fast, Die Never soundtrack. I've been wanting it since I first heard of it and it was worth the wait. I wish Buffy would have put out a score soundtrack as well (and for Angel to put out a music one more like the original Buffy one). I like Robert Kral's scores and especially like the Main theme The Sanctuary by Darling Violetta. The break down is like this.
Season One - 4 cuts
Season Two - 12 cuts
Season Three - 1 cut
Season Four - 5 cuts
Season Five - 2 cuts
And of course the main theme which goes for all seasons.
If I had a complaint, it would be the uneveness in seasonal break down but really, I like the selection with two songs being sung by Andy and one by Christian. My main complaint has nothing to do wtih the quality of the CD but rather the packaging. They used (unless I'm mistaken) 100% Season 5 pictures. There are pics of Eve, Hamilton and three of Cyvus Vail and NONE of Connor, Lilah, Lindsey, Kate, Jasmine or Doyle all of whom were far more important to the series than some of the pics they did include. I found it vaguely insulting to those actors and actresses to be honest. The photography included was rather vast and lush but to concentrate it entirely in the last season seems somehow wrong. I'm surprised they didn't clip in Andrew while they were at it (Darla/Dru at least made it in. Lucky them for being in TGiQ)
At least Doyle's sacrfice theme music made it in. There's no less than six Angel/Darla songs (guess who Kral must like). Next closest is Cordy with three pieces. The rest of the boys don't see much action on this soundtrack (well Lorne's vocals...). Home was one of the soundtracks, still makes me sniffly.
I don't know if this CD has been released in America. Last I heard it wasn't going to be but they may have reconsidered that (given a huge chunk of the fan base is American) It's worth the import price
p.s. for those who care, found some temporary filling mix at Wal-Mart and at least the tooth is sealed
