Roy was the first cat I had here. He was here before me, mostly outside but friendly. He'd come in to eat and leave. That's what it looks like Malcolm (here forth known as Rocket after the character on Guardians because he's much more like him than a Malcolm) is going to be like. He has no interest really on being inside. I think I'll ask the vet if she'll cut me a deal like she has in the past. I'll pay to neuter him but he's an outdoor/semi-feral can she cut me a price break (we have no feral cat program here). He can come and go and maybe after neutering he'll want to be in or when it gets cold but I don't think it will work with him being totally inside. sigh.


Turns out there was a tornado back home. Fun times.


Halyna Hutchins's death puts me in mind of Brandon Lee (though I'm not sure why Alec Baldwin was shooting at the film maker) and I'm like why are we still using squibs like this? Why is it all not digital because it can be. Sigh.

I saw a post earlier on instagram that says a number of the crew had walked out and resigned the previous night over unsafe shooting conditions. I haven't had the brain to verify that.

It seems to be true - there were no union crew members on set at the time of the accident.
