I'm not as much into the porn of things, though this had some nice porn. I enjoyed the story because of the insight you gave us on all of the characters. They were very real, not just to canon characters, but to life. No saints, just sinners doing their best.

I was impressed by the way the characterization supported the plot, the idea of the unrestful dead spirit echoed by Connor's unrestful living spirit. The dead angry at its loss of life and the living wanting to die.

The change in Faith's attitude was deftly done. She's a tough nut and it can be hard to convince that she has opened herself to her soft side. You made her open up just enough, not mawkishly or grandiosely, just realizing that she did care and being comfortable with it.

Your Spike was excellent. You caught the mix of his character - rough-natured but caring. In many ways, he is a blend of Faith and Connor, making him a good choice for the third protagonist in this story. He provided the balance between the other two.

Very enjoyable fic, very well written.

Thanks. I'm so gla dyou liked it. I'm not always into porn either. Often it jsut slows down a fic. I was hoping to use this porn to show Connor's descent and Faith's slow awareness of her emotions.

I love writing Spike or I did until the over exposure of him in S6-7 & AtS S5 and I stopped writing him cold. I'm glad to get back into his character

Actually, you did use the sex exactly as was needed and I enjoyed it in the context of the story. I meant my comment to say that I didn't start reading the fic for the sex, nor did I come away just remembering the sex.

I'm one of the people who couldn't get enough Spike, even though I didn't like where they took him in S6-7. But then I didn't like where they took any of the characters in S6-7.

I can see where some people would prefer him as a lesser supporting character. I felt that way about Andrew in S7.

I used to think I'd never get enough. I was wrong. And yes, S6-7 pretty much destroyed all the characters for me. That's why you'll almost never see a story from me set then. Post Chosen yes when I have time to alter their behaviors and have them grow but I tend to avoid those two canonical years like the plague (ditto S3 of Angel)
