the day is off to a stellar start...not
Sep. 13th, 2005 11:03 amWoke up at 5AM sick. Nauseated, hot and cold, headachy. I have a test to give today so guess what body, suck it up you're going to work. And I've made a command decision, I'm re-lecturing on the DNA stuff to my three hour class tonight. (They're ahead of the class that meets at 1 hour blocks) because if the first classes performance is any indication we're all freaking clueless and the DNA stuff is way way harder.
Sears failed to call me again. I called them. They called the store. The washer is gone as of Friday morning. The local guy said, 'you didn't need to call Nationals, we were going to help you. There wasn't a problem.' i.e. thanks for getting us in trouble, bitch.
Got a letter from my lawyer. I got my settlement for my hand. For permanently crippling my hand I receive....less than 3,000$ and I'm not sure if that's before or after lawyers' fees. I need to find out what happens if I refuse to sign off on a release for this injury. I won't take the money if that's the case. What if the damage worsens? I don't know if this can be revisited or not. Sob. In one way it's a victory, yes I'm officially partially permanently disabled. In the other way it's a slap in the face. I was a surgeon. I'm not any more and you gave me like two months wages? Thanks for nothing.
And I know I keep saying Ohio and Florida attracted some truly psycho people. Usually I back this up with news of the weird but today I'll give you this headline from Yahoo... this is about 200 miles away from me up between cleveland and Toledo in case anyone's curious.
