It's nano season in less than 48 hours and let's talk pivoting. If something doesn't work, don't force it. Keep those words. They count! But be ready to switch to something you enjoy working on. Pivoting is okay

Like today. I planned to make a gravestone (spice cake) and skulls (banana cake) for my coworkers tomorrow. Couldn't find my grandma's beaters for the ancient hand mixer, pivoted grabbed MY mixer. It literally caught fire. Pivoted and beat with my spoon. Put cake in oven.

Well the knife came out clean from my tombstone so I took it out, cooled it flipped it and it's raw in the middle. Pivoting. Scooped it back into the pan and put it in the oven again. Dug around found the beaters to grandma's mixer, made cake two. Put in skull molds. Put on overflow pan. It overflowed even that pan. Didn't panic.

Then they stuck in the molds. I had no skulls. I had a broken tombstone. Pivot. Banana cake in the freezer to be made into a banana foster's trifle. Tombstone glazed. Glaze broke. I'm pivoting and calling it lichen spots. The coworkers are getting a vandalized graveyard.

See? Pivot? Be flexible and get to the finish line. Be a rebel. Use short stories and fanfic if you want to. Is it against the rules? Yes. Who cares? Who is going to know? Write to make you happy.

That's a lot of pivoting! I'm glad you made it work. *g*
