The librarians today said Dana come join us at Books and Brews a book club at the brew pub. YES PLEASE. Unfortunately a) it's classic lit, ugh no thanks, read that crap in h.s./college. I'm over most of it b) it's noon friday. Um I work. Even if I worked in town I wouldn't want to go back to work with beer breath. Oh well.

Just found out one of my favorite restaurants in town had their pipes freeze over and burst over Christmas. I was SO lucky to not have that happen here while I was gone.

I got my antibiotics from the rudest nurse practitioner I've ever had. I really wanted to say something but thought maybe her day is sucking hard and frankly I have what I want and I'm too tired to fuss.

1. I have so many so I will do just my most current one. Most people who know me will probably guess Malcolm Bright but it's actually Gil Arroyo. His kindness, his non-toxic masculinity, his forgiving nature and his intelligence made him such a great character (and it helps LDP is smoking hot)

2. Something that makes you laugh - Right now all the one liners from The Owl House


3. A bookshelf OMG mine are ALL so damn messy I was embarrassed to share so enjoy this coned down pic of the manga stack on top of my hope chest.

4. A game or hobby you enjoy - I enjoy writing, beading and gardening. I would love to get into a zoom/discord D&D game some day

5. Something you find comforting - Mom just got me these velour sheets for christmas. I didn't want to get out of bed today. I had old fuzzy sheets. I use them in the winter because this apt leaks heat so I don't bother trying to get the bedroom warm. I just use lots of blankets and that is very comforting


6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch - My two favorite (current) TV shows were both unfortunately and unreasonably canceled in S2 of each. Prodigal Son and The Owl House. Both are worth looking up.


7. A piece of clothing you love - Not really clothing but I have this purse from Lucky that I bought at Macy's several years ago. I usually drag it out from Christmas-Valentine's Day. It's red corduroy covered on the front with fabric hearts with a few spilling to the back. I've had it so long I've worn off the wales in spots on the back corduroy so I wanted to fix it. I mean everyone tells me how much they love it. Strangers stop me to tell me that. MEN have stopped me to tell me that. So I went to JoAnne's Fabrics last week and got two corduroy hearts to put over the bare spots (and the barista at the bubble tea shop next door stopped and told me how great the purse was)

8. A thing from an old fandom - Oh I have so many old fandoms and I have SO much from all of them (it's ridiculous really) if you look up at that purse you'll see it's sitting on a Doctor Who blanket....

I just went around the place and took a few snaps.

Have some of my favorite stories from my old fandoms Hyperion's Son this is a novel length canon divergent story bringing together Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the series


The Sorrow Series is a canon mash up for Fullmetal Alchemist, the 2003 anime with the manga. All three stories are novella length



9. A thing from a new fandom - I have nothing from The Owl House but I DO have stuff from Prodigal Son which doesn't really have much in the way of official merch (but Red Bubble creators can help you there) I have a few things from Pson but they're at my office. However here at the house I have this
a picture draw for me of Malcolm Bright (Tom Payne) done while I was hospitalized in 2021. I have it in my bedroom because it makes me happy.

man, lou diamond philips really is an attractive human being, isn't he. (i tried to watch the pilot of prodigal son because michael sheen, but there was too much good omens cognitive dissonance. >.< totally a me thing, not a show thing, because i've heard all good things about it.)

Those are great pics of LDP. I have loved him since Young Guns and when he did guest spots on Numb3rs. Such a good actor and oh so handsome.

I too love your purse. That's awesome that you can patch it with more hearts that way it lasts longer.

Drusilla and Spike have to be one of my favorite pairings from Buffy they just have so much history.
