Didn't get much sleep last night because I tried to go to bed early. Yeah that didn't work. Honestly there was no flight drama at all EXCEPT something happened that almost never happens: I got MASSIVELY air sick. Had to lie down in the hotel 2 hours before the room stopped spinning. I was really afraid I wasn't going to make the hotel before throwing up (I did but luckily didn't quite vomit) Also I was so dizzy I was glad I had handicapped transit arranged.

I did have some rough weather flying especially in Albuquerque. It wasn't that bad going into Dallas (I did get sick before I even got off the ground in Pittsburgh) but it had been bad before I arrived which pushed back my departure 2 hours. I'm not complaining. It was less than 50 minutes originally and I was sweating it.

I got over 100 pages edited of the novel. There is something I don't want to do mid afternoon at the con tomorrow. I might just come back here and do that because I HAVE to send it back before the end of this vacation. I guess I'll have no issues finding the convention center since I'm staring right at it.

Taxis are hella expensive but that I knew.

Also that 505 food hall is the closest food which is a long two block hike (my leg hurt enough to make me wish I had the cane but I don't like using the cane in the city alone). I went to Naruto ramen and had the veggie bowl (as all but one were pork, I don't eat pork and the only beef one was very hot and I was sure my stomach wasn't up to that). I'm sure I'll get more food at this place.

Not shockingly there are quite a few homeless people on these two blocks. One young man asked me for the bottled water I had. I left it for him. Seemed like the right thing to do.

Very surprising was a Pueblo Deco theater right next door to the food hall that I somehow missed on Google Earth. It's from 1927 and I will absolutely get pictures of it. I hope I can get inside.

My room in the Clyde is big, especially the bathroom. I want the vanity. Oddly it has no microwave/mini fridge. It's been a while since I've run into that. the wifi IS free (in spite of what's on the website and I did point that out) but the pool I have to pay for. You know what I don't need it. Maybe sunday I'll do that when I have to pay the fee to park anyhow.

Half my flight was HAPS con goers. I was a little shocked a couple of them seemed interested in my presentation but had NO idea where Wales is. That's Europe right? I mean technically but it's part of the UK dudes. WHERE? Um the part that's not England or Scotland?

Right now I'm a little regretful of the ramen because I didn't think I could more but now I'm hungry. But I DO have snacks at least.

Okay i need to get to working on my cover art thing as it is due and I'm sleepy but it's only 9 pm here (as it's 2 hours behind my usual) At least I should be able to fall asleep at a reasonable hour and hope to get on a good schedule.

Here

i'm standing by the bathroom door and there is a little table here now full of snacks

sizeable but plain

about half the bathroom. I love this vanity's shelving

I'm sorry your flight was so rough on you. Hopefully, that was a one-time thing. Your hotel room looks nice and big. It's pretty awesome that you are so close to the convention center.

Welcome...
