Writerly Ways
Jul. 2nd, 2023 10:16 pmI'm too exhausted for smart writerly thoughts. Today was low key awful. Nothing horrible happened mind you, just nothing went right. I did decide to stay here til after the holiday. I used to never be there for the 4th when I taught in the summer. Morning Mom - yeah that's fine. Evening Mom - I'm disappointed. Sigh.
I went to work to transplant my veggies (after finishing the tree removal from the garden) took forever. Then I found out the door was broken and when I propped it open it got stuck on the broken part. I could not budge it. I reduced the friction with soap. Helped but not enough. Had to call campus police for help. I feel dumb especially when she kicked it free in three blows.
I need to clean. End of story. Now I'm thinking about going to the steampunk event in Gettysburg in August.
Anyone else doing Camp nano? I can't seem to concentrate. I could (and need) to finish this solarpunk story if I could just concentrate. Instead my brain is like let's do those two fandom trumps hate charity things you're behind on.
