Independence Day

It's not a great year to feel festive about this country but for those celebrating, I hope it was a good day.
I spent the day going back and forth between writing and cleaning and I made progress. I'm to the point where a) I think the stories suck and b) I can't clean any more because I'm literally out of places to put stuff but don't want to part ways with the stuff either. Good day to be me.
Speaking of which, I set timers 20 minutes on cleaning 20 minutes off (so I could write and let my body not overdo it) but my sugar was so high every 20 minutes for the entire day it was a bathroom break. That might also be why I'm not feeling great.
But I did get a little more on my novel. Really wish it had an alpha reader but Link is at least looking at it.
So it's fandom tuesday. I'm curious, what is your favorite part of fanfiction/art to explore? For me, there are a few favorites. As hard as the end of canon is sometimes to take (Looking at you Prodigal Son, at least you got to tie it up The Owl House), I love exploring the whole post-canon possibilities. There are so many places you can take it.
I love fix-it fic but that is of course so very subjective. Is it really a fix that needs doing? You'll never get agreement on that but for me it's a fun exploration.
I hate to say it because I know it's not always that popular, but I do like kid fic, the characters having kids (not them being regressed into kids, that isn't my cuppa).
