I don't often get to go to Trader Joe's. My closest one is over 80 miles away. My parents have one closer so Mom and I went there, broke the bank, and I got some tasty things. We also went to Macy's Black Friday in July sale and got some pretty things. One might go back and I can't believe I bought capris but they're cute.


I wanted to have more fannish thoughts for tuesday. Most of what running through my mind is the cyber attacks against AO3 from Anti LGBT/Anti NSFW groups. Part of me is trying to remember that this is hardly the first time. It happened to FFN. I'm fairly sure that was happening to LJ back in the day. FFN eventually caved to the NSFW antis and LJ became unfriendly to LGBT eventually when Russia bought it. I'll assume squidgeworld will be next if it hasn't already happened. sigh.


But in happier thoughts, thank you to everyone who commented on yesterday's story. I appreciate it.


I'm trying to plan something to do over Labor's Day. I'm curious. What do you look for in a day trip or weekender?

Our Trader Joe's is over 40 miles away and I don't get to that one very often.

Yay for capris! I love them.

You and I are very different because I know you like to go-go-go and see everything. For me, I'd like to have one or two things to do, a nice place to take a walk (if the things to do don't include walking) and a nice place to relax, like a coffee shop. Or even an ice cream shop. And good food. *g*

Definitely you're in my brother and his wife's category for vacations. That said I AM thinking about a cabin in the woods for me and a few friends for a reading/writing vacation

I do get very frustrated when this sort of thing happens! But I have hope that it will get better.

Honestly it depends on where I'm going. Mom and I do history day trips in the area, but if I'm going on a longer vacation... some I go go go and some I just veg. A lovely trip for me is going to my sister's. Most of the time, I just relax and play with the kids.

But I also enjoy seeing new things. I don't really do weekend trips, but I like to do the historical trips in the area for day trips. We've done Little White House and Andersonville which are a bit of a drive. And here in town we've done our Museum and also the Infantry Museum.

I do like historical day trips a lot. I suck at vegging. Badly. Honestly that is part of my depression/suicidal ideation. If I'm busy my brain doesn't sit around telling me how awful my life is. If I veg it does

Vegging for me is like playing with the kids. I suck at vegging also, but I can sit and play with the kids.

I totally understand the wanting to be busy.

Yeah. Or reading to them. My niece and nephew love me reading to them.
