A writing day

I noodled a bit on my syllabus which I need to get off my ass and get finished. But mostly I spent the afternoon writing. It's nearly done. I'm not sure it's scary enough but I'm rather happy with it. It could use a beta reader if anyone's interested in a short story trade. I'm writing for this one: Escalators to Hell: Shopping Mall Horrors (Early)

Andújar: The Robot Gentleman of San Juan by Carolina Cardona - a Puerto Rican steampunk I liked the author as a person but man this is....I'm going to have to be kind in review. It's not great


Cat in a Vegas Gold Vendetta by Carol Nelson Douglas. It's been forever since I read this series and I am lost. If you don't know the previous books, you'll have NO idea what's going on and that makes it a poor mystery to me



What I Plan to Read Next: The Reformatory by Tananarive Due just arrived as an arc. and I moved The Widows to here. It was depressing and a little boring so...

I just finished two YA novels Spin the Dawn and Unravel the Dust. They were fantastic. I also finished Legends & Lattes last night, but I'm pretty sure you already read that one.

How scary is it? And how soon do you need a beta? I could probably squeeze it in.

I don't know the YA novels but yes to Legends.

It's not very scary (though a baby dies but I'm thinking of changing that and make it the mom). I need to get it in in the first two weeks of august
