Being too good at your job

I found out when I saw I had been added to an email chain that my chair said I was the best to represent us in a talk about what anatomy & physiology SHOULD be in terms of teaching and the provost added me to the group's email chain saying I'd be there on Nov 3rd....Um...what? NO ONE ASKED ME. That was the date of my major lab exam. I have to move it now and find someone to do my labs the day I'm gone. I AM the best choice and I want to do it (as I have already started this process). But I could have been asked, not volunteered.

I did finish and edited the gothic thing. AND they closed the damn open call early. You know what I'm not even upset. It's RUSHED as a short story. I think I have the beginnings of a novella here. I could use an alpha reader to see if I'm on to something or should I shove it in a drawer.

Also I just wanted to say is after 20 years I'm still in love with him

NOTHING OMG it's been a bad month. I can engage with nothing other than Fullmetal Alchemist Vol 6-9

I DNF X-Wing Wraith Squadron. I read enough of it to make me happy to count it for my X book. So. Freaking. Boring

The early close I can live with because I know it's a team of 3 people running that indie and I'm sure they were swamped with stories. Mine would have been rejected because the romance is barely there (sorry 6K and under is SO short to handle that)
