April 2nd - 663 words, finishing the fic I started a couple of days ago. Well, finished aside from a final edit to catch any typos. Spent the rest of the afternoon cross stitching. I don't need to write so much each day now, since I'm nearly 2/3 of the way through my GYWO pledge.

On Day 2, I added 776 words, finishing out the angst and moving into somewhat lighter stuff.

Day 2: 421 words on one WIP, and 517 on the other for me tonight!

Thank you! I always try to push forward with the writing over the first two or three months while the days are short and the weather is too cold for doing much outside. Then I can ease off over the summer when I want to be doing other things, while still writing every day. I only pledged 150k, because I know I can do that, and probably exceed it. Since my plan is to write every day anyway, I need a wordcount goal to motivate me.

That makes perfect sense.

For me, I pick days vs words as I have a lot of revisions for publishers so I don't always add words. I can be days removing them

Yes, that makes perfect sense for you. It's all about which works best for the individual writer. We all have different needs and goals.

Exactly which is why I'm so glad they have the habit and the word count. They're doing a good job at trying to catch both types of writers
