questions for the UK portion of the list
Nov. 6th, 2005 05:43 pmWorking on a story set in Leicester and as many British mysteries as I watch, you'd think I know but what color is crime scene tape in England. Screaming yellow like in the States?
And does anyone know what a ward is called in Ireland, as in the Dick Grayson kind of ward. The guardians never adopted the boy but they have been caring for him for years. I wasn't sure if that sort of arrangement would be called a ward or not.
THanks!

I am in England, not Ireland, but I am pretty sure they would be called guardians, not wards. On school papers and things where it asks for a signature it will say:
Parent/Guardian:________
But it might be different in Ireland.
