Those days where you need a hug
Aug. 28th, 2024 10:17 pmOtherwise known as the fuck cancer addition.
1. My uncle's brain cancer is definitely back and aggressive and they are changing his chemo but honestly if he's alive at Christmas I'll be stunned
2. My work friend's breast cancer is way worse than originally thought. She's at the James cancer center tomorrow
3. Another friend was just diagnosed with cancer.
4. I need to yell at Holzer for my own mammogram.
I'm sad naturally. See the psychiatrist tomorrow. I hope it rains. We had a lot of lightning but if it rains tomorrow it'll be a good excuse not to do what I want to do tomorrow night. I know it's going to be too hot out otherwise (but it's much closer than seeing the river circus in other locations) but we'll see.
The PTA worked me hard today. I trained him too. And the receptionist who obvious didn't make it thru the program. My knee hurts. It hurt so bad at 5 AM it woke me up. Also somehow I gouged a hole in my breast in my sleep. well then...
I went to work to help the two people stepping in for me. One didn't meet with me. The other did and we talked about the new system which is SO bad that no one can use it. It was taking hours to do what the old system did in minutes. SO glad I'm missing that (not to mention all the drama with L)
What I Just Finished Reading:
Bloodmarked by Tracy Deon loved this
Impossible Creatures - lovely illustrations in this middle grade story and it was a decent read
What I am Currently Reading:
Native Wisdom - Ed McGaan, I'm remembering why I put this on a shelf 30 years ago...
The Heir of Bluescale - this is self published and boy this is why self pubbing had such a bad name for so long. I'm not sure I can make it through.
What I Plan to Read Next: trying to finish the Popsugar challenge
