My blood sugar freaked the fuck out tonight. It has been over 350 for 4 hours in spite of all the insulin. I had the exact same dinner last night with no issues. The only difference was the bean soup so now I get to see if I can't have cannellini beans any more. Sigh. I'll have more soup tomorrow and see what happens.

I am all signed up at [community profile] fandomtrumpshate for Hazbin Hotel offerings.

As for my current writing I'm in that weird place where I have too many ideas so my brain froze up on all of them. Rolls eyes.

I've been reading a ton of fanfic lately so much so I've nearly finished my comment_bingo card as a blackout...

I did get my major arcana from Hazbin Hotel which I think I mentioned so I'll be sharing a picture of it and of several other things I've been sitting on.

A box of goodies evil little dog got me from a Welsh artist. I've already worn the whale pin

This was some of the contents of the Christmas Dungeons and Dragons cracker Betty got me, little standees, full set of dice, candy, the paper crown

She also got me this mug that says I don't need a sex life, life fucks with me every day. true so true

The steampunk hat mom and I were working on. Not sure where it's going. Maybe just to this stage.

That tarot. Look at the bag it came in. Lucifer and Charlie on the front and on the back Alastor and Niffty. (she drew them as humans) I'm holding my favorites

Bought myself roses again. Either Kroger was unable to sell unbought, half dying bouquets at half price (the usual 'manager special' pricing) and has okayed them at the same 2$ they sell the old carnation bouquets. It's pretty and I gave it myself

Ack, I'm so sorry to hear about your sugar spike, that's awful, particularly if you've eaten the same food you did before. (Did you maybe change up your choice of drink or do more or less exercise?)

Do you think it might help you to patiently write down all plots in detail so you can deal with them one at a time? (Could always throw your beautiful new dice on which to pick once you've numbered them!) As is often the case, it's about 50/50 if that does or doesn't work for me.

I love the pictures! Such excellent treasures! And yay on the gorgeous bouquet.

Yay for your awesome haul and for saving the bouquet from the bin, but sorry to hear about the diabetes issues. How could beans be responsible? I've been taught pulses are always a good option.
Sympathies about the brainfreeze due too many ideas! I'm familiar with that with having too many started snippets, WIPs or drawer fics, which I suppose is the same.

Oh man, your blood sugar! I hope it's not the beans.

Congrats on the comment bingo card! I'm almost there, too! It's odd, because I've been so bad about commenting and filling out my card, but this time I'm on a roll!

That does make sense. The more your stomach needs to work on stuff, the better, right? I so wished I could help you with this, but you know a lot more about what you (generally) can and can't have than I do.

Follow the siren call first then, maybe it'll sort things out the natural way once you get one piece written. If not, there's always option b.

I really do.

Sorry about your sugar I hope you're doing better today.

I mug made me chuckle. I love the hat I would have never thought to put lace on it but it is really pretty. The 2-dollar roses are a steal and very lovely as well.

I never would have considered the pureed vs whole angle.

Yeah, it's a lot more complicated if diabetes isn't the only issue at work when even if it was just the one not everyone has the same type and the same reactions. *hugs* But it's rotten to sit on the sidelines and not be able to help you at all.

Have you tried if you like steamed vegetables? / Can digest them well? (As per usual, no idea if that's any help at all. Always tell me to shut it if it's not helping.)

Oh no re the meds! That'd make life unnecessarily harder! I'm sorry! Hope things will settle a bit better now. Is there any way you can order them so far ahead that they have no way to run out or do you have to keep to certain timelines before you're allowed to re-order?

I think the siren might've been right if you were having a bad day. You deserved having a fun time after everything the past few days have been throwing at you.

Aww, okay. It was just a thought because as far as I know steamed is the most easy to digest, but as long as you normally don't run into trouble with roasted ones, I'm sure it'll be all right.

That is annoying. I mean, I get that they don't want you to start huge stashes, but if one is a bit late that's pretty awful.

I can see how that would be frustrating, particularly since you planned to write more original fic. Perhaps you could write fanfic during the week and original fic on weekends?

I hope your back has settled a little, that sounds beyond unpleasant, I'm sorry.

I can definitely see that, especially with your sugar's very varied response to foods that "should" drive it up and foods that feel like they shouldn't. And honestly, with your current situation of painful appointments and back to work stress... I hope this weekend will be reasonably calm and offer you some chance to relax.

Definitely sounds like a good plan. Good luck with your writing!

Well that sounds delightful. Not. But at least you can look forward to the weeks after, hopefully.

That's definitely a good start.

I should think that a red wedding described with some detail would be horror by and of itself, isn't it? Particularly if you go into the preparations and how much she's looking forward to the whole thing beforehand? I don't think horror technically needs supernatural elements as a requirement?

Hope you'll get good news re your appointment!!

Sounds like you should be fine in any case. Hope you'll enjoy the process.

Glad to hear you're okay for now!!
