Write Every Day Day 13

Have the king of horror for Friday the Thirteenth. This is probably one of King’s more controversial quotes and often misinterpreted too but regardless, editing is important. I wish I enjoyed it more. It was funny one of the author’s group on that zoom meeting prefers editing to drafting, complete opposite of me.

Word faulted out HARD on me today. Lost a lot of what I wrote for the finish of the story. I recreated it but it’s not nearly as funny as the original. And then when it saved, Word put it under a complete different file name which thankfully I had posted that story so I could retrieve it. Sigh.

On Day 13, I wrote a drabble on the fairytale retelling theme and submitted it to an open call for said theme. I'm pretty proud of myself for just doing it instead of dithering. Go, me!

Don't think I could ever do that, but since I tend to write mostly short pieces, I guess it doesn't matter.

June 13th - 861 words. One expanded fill, a couple of double drabbles, and edits to tonight's two fics.

Re: the King quote, I guess it depends on what your draft look like. Very often for me, it's not so much that I have to cut things away, but that I have to actually flesh things out. *g*
