Hope everyone has a nice day. I'm hoping not to drown a relative in the gravy. I'm sure someone will tempt me. This is my first thanksgiving with the family in almost ten years. This is so not my holiday.

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of my fil's wife, who is hosting the event in all of her over-solicitous hostessing glory. But, hey, the food will be excellent so I'll resist any and all gravy-drowning urges.
I love Thanksgiving! It's always just a few days after my b'day, so I'm in a post-present-receiving mello, and my family is full of old-fashioned Southern cooks. And there's dressing. Which, for me, is what Thanksgiving's really all about (aside from the whole being thankful thing).
Well, I hope it wasn't too stressful for you. I don't love crowds, myself, but I can usually handle family for a few hours.
Of course, one year, when I was like, 11, it came the day after my birthday, and everyone felt the need to sing happy birthday, thus embarrassing the hell out of me.
there is one thing about having a summer birthday like me, schools out so there was never anyone there to embarrass me but it's a dual edged sword there was never anyone around to celebrate either
My sister has a summer birthday. Another sucky thing about them, from my standpoint at least, is it just seems to take forever for them to roll around. Of course, that may be because there aren't any major events surounding them, like holidays and stuff.
