I've got tagged a few times to do that five weird things I do meme so...

1. I'm hooked on salty and sour stuff to the point of drinking pickle or better yet, olive juice. Yes all that salt will probably make me go mad but I don't care. I tend to salt everything. I think I drink margaritas just for the salt rim.

2. My food can not touch. I've gotten better about this. When I was younger I would pull apart my pizza, line up all the ingredients by type and THEN eat it. To this day, my food can not touch. Several times over the holiday mom would ask, want pie ala mode. Yes I do. Put the ice cream and pie in different dishes. I'd get the fish eye. They'd be done with dinner and I'll be still separating out my food so it wasn't touching.

3. I can't drink out of the same glass twice in one day. If it's held anything, it's dirty. I only really drink water and tea/coffee. Its' not like there's cross flavor contaimination. It's just dirty. I'll go through about 4-6 mugs a day. And if it touches the sink, it's dirty. I don't care if I just got a utensil out of the drawer, if I drop it in the sink, it has to be washed before I'll use it.

4. I despise shoes and bras. Both of mine are off as soon as I hit the door (or before hand if I'm really being bugged by them. In teh summer, I won't drive with shoes on. I don't care if it's techincally illegal. I feel like I have more control of the pedals in barefeet over sandals. Ditto with high heels.

5. I'm a compulsive checker. I have to recheck door locks several time during the night and I must do a spider check before going to bed and/or in teh shower. Every night. I'm not that afraid of them but I don't like them so i check. On the nights I forget, I usually fall victim to a spider attack. Oh and I also check for things under the bed and can not sleep with body parts dangling off the bed.

It's illegal to drive without shoes on? *scratches my head* Maybe I don't remember that because Driver's Ed was ten years ago (holy fuck).

Still...who came up with that one?

I'm with you on hte shoes and bra. The minute I walk through the door, off comes the bra and shoes. I don't even wear slippers in winter. And if I'm not going anywhere that day, I don't wear a bra at all.

When I started grade 6 (primary school) up here in QLD, shoes were not compulsary. So I never wore them to school. When Jake started at teh school here (2 years ago), I noticed one day some kids weren't wearing them, when I went to pick him up. I couldn't stop laughing, cos I was remembering my school days - and how strange it felt knowing shoes weren't compulsary in Far north Queensland primary schools, unlike his schools in Brisbane.

And btw, you and the "not drinking out of the same glass" - you and my son are exactly the same. I can follow a trail of glasses around the house. LOL.

Damn.

Gotta say, I totally agree with the bra thing (and with the dirty glass thing, actually). I used to drive Mom nuts when I first started wearing them: Just as soon as I was home from school, off they'd come.

Well, I usually only doing it when I'm moving the car to a new parking place. Mostly 'cause any other destination I might take the car demands footwear.

Oh, and I guess on long trips I take my shoes off because my feet swell.

Oh, I forgot about the food not touching thing, myself. The family was watching me eat the other day as I was carefully edging things around so there was no touchy....

Though Mom really hated you using a cup once and putting it in the sink. She STILL complains about it. :-)

#3-you're really a clean-freak, lol ;p
#5-check spider before you go to bed/step into the shower, ha dat reminds me of me having bug swatter at my bed-table juz in case any insects especially beetles, they always like coming after me (flying towards me, I hated it when they do that) at night when I'm awake and my lights are on. And you check for things under the bed..reminds of this comic that I've posted last year Dec, Calvin&Hobbes-15Dec2005 (http://www.livejournal.com/users/spideygirl81/12056.html).

i love love love calvin and Hobbes. Actually I'm NOT a clean freak at all with two exceptions, my patient treatment rooms (for obvious reasons) and things I eat off of.

Okie okie, i thought you're a clean freak so you're not hee..but my mum freaks me out, she can juz drink from the same glass over and over again, gross..until I have take it away from her and wash it for her and my dad on the hand, he must rinse the plate or utensil over the tap even after we juz wash. My both parents are weird and as for me, I'm kinda in the middle. Calvin and Hobbes..I really love the comic so much, it always makes me laugh after a rough day. I love Hobbes, Calvin's tiger "friend" which reminds me of Mr Bean his teddy bear hehe :)

I do that with food too, more with some types of food than others. I hate mixing stuff in general. And the compulsive checking! Like, I check 3 or 4 times after each other if my purse is in my bag and stuff like that, even though I KNOW i put it there and had seen it only a moment before. I'm like that with everything, keys, assignments, I always forget if I've already checked for them.

Gah, I hate bras. Shoes not so much, but bras! And mum always nags me if I don't wear it -_-

Bit of an obsession with my purse. Mostly cause if I lose it I'll have lost my bank cards, smart card and id card in one go, not to mention ending up stranded cause of no money to get the bus home :/

well yes realistically that would happen to me too but still I don't care. I've managed to get to work and only realize then because my office keys are in my purse that I'm screwed because I forgot it
