cornerofmadnessAnd for once not at the students. This crew did pretty good with the cats (though one of them was pregnant when she was euthanized...that'll make life interesting later).
No, I'm digusted at the Humane Society of Jackson County OH. I called them about the pregnant cat. They told me to call the cat shelter my school works with (I will. I know they said they won't but maybe if I cry on the phone) or they'd hook me up with a vet to put her to sleep. The Humane Society. They have no physical location. All they do is get you cut rates on putting the animals down. Lovely. I have one vet to call that a student (my students are trying hard to help) gave me the name to. I'm about to drive all the way to the no-kill shelter in Columbus where I got Iktomi from. Me and a nauseous pregnant cat for 2 hours...and it'll have to wait until at least tuesday.
On the good side, my eyes are totally healed. Which is good because my nose has been so abused by my glasses, you can barely touch it. On the bad side, we're tyring new contacts with a new material and I think something is wrong with the right one. It was blurry in the office and didn't feel right. We cleaned it up and tried again. Felt okay and the doc said it fits right...but I can't read out of it. Either there's a problem with the lens or it's the wrong script. Bangs head hard.
