A cigarette and a bottle of scotch
Feb. 28th, 2006 06:18 pmIs what i asked my secretary for after today's anatomy exam. She couldn't oblige me. I could have cried. If I weren't so furious I would have. I told them to go to my website DocDana’s website and I put up the essays I was going to ask. Notice the Excitation-Contraction Coupling & Sliding Filament theory outline (feel free to click away). Notice under links I have an animated version of it. I told them. This WOULD be on the test in essay form and the other essay would come from the 'possible essay list' Less than 25% got it right. One of them asked me, do you mean that thing with 13 points on line? Yeah that thing. most of them wrote the numbers 1-13 down and that was it.
marenfic are you SURE you want to do this?
makd how have you kept yourself relatively sane all these years? Now I know why my aunt was a teacher for 30 years likes her wine and her xanax.
In better news my pregnant kitty was on my doorstep today. She's been missing since Friday and I was worried about her. If she had the kittens NO ONE would take her. She hadn't. I got back from work, grabbed her, shoved her in a microwave box with a towel and headed for Columbus. About 90 miles one way. I used to live there and have my practice there. I took her to the shelter I got my last cat from. 10 minutes into the ride she rams her head thru the finger holes (now air holes) of the box. Fearing she'll choke, I relent and open the box intended to just pet her inside it as I drive...(yeah that's safe) It ended up with me holding a pregnant cat in my lap for 80 miles but she was good. They'll take care of her now since I can't do it. They didn't even want a donation (I gave them one anyhow.) They're Cat Welfare if anyone wants to check them out.
Since it was still before 2, I decided to go shopping...my style. Hit two comic book stores. One had manga out the wazoo and I picked up some. Sadly they had no accessory fan junk. I went to the chinese buffer since everything I really wanted was in the NW corner of Columbus and I had to go to the SE to get home. I don't do buffets. My stomach's too screwed up for this. But it was that or Applebee's and I'm sick of chains.
THe weird thing is I went to a chinese buffet in Gallipolis yesterday that everyone at school raves has such good food. They apparantly have never tasted good chinese food. I'm pretty sure they fed me rat. The one today had sushi. WHEEE. Inari! I haven't had inari since I left Orlando. They had Inari pockets with sea weed salad (yum) and inari pockets with cavier (oh yeah that's right I don't like fish eggs). I ate too much then again half a bowl of soup and half a sandwich is usually enough to cause severe stomach pain from over eating. This is a new pain, the one going on 3 hours now. That'll teach me to actually eat a full meal.

And I guess you'll just have to face facts: the students at that college are morons, and deserve their fate.

Date: 2006-03-01 07:05 am (UTC)I read this entry too - you have a kitty? Aww. Kawaii. I do to, though she isn't pregnant. (At least I hope not!). So, soon you are to have many little kitties? Or, did by "they'll take care of her now" did you mean something else...? AH. I probably sound really stupid now. :/ Now I am confused; like I said, it is far too late-slash-early for meh. ::Shrug::
Hah, most people have not tasted good or 'real' Chinese food. My sister's friends, who are fluent in Chinese, tried to order some REAL food for us from this resteraunt, and the woman who answered the phone to take our order said "Oh, we don't serve the 'good' stuff here! We only serve silly white people." Hehehehe.

Date: 2006-03-01 02:05 pm (UTC)I had a kitty, someone abandoned her here. I'm not allowed pets (more over I have no lease so I wasn't about to irritate the landlord) so i took her to the shelter and in this case 'take care of her' means just that, they'll be good to her. I drove 90 miles for that. The shelters here would destroy her immediately.
Oh Iknow. I lived with a girl from China for three years and while some of the 'good stuff' wasn't for me (there are organ meats and other things I won't eat) but damn, there's good Caucasian oriented stuff and then there's stuff I wouldn't slop hogs with

Date: 2006-03-01 11:30 pm (UTC)You're not allowed pets? Aw, I sorry. Kitties are cute. I commend you for taking her to the shelter. I know what you mean - the shelters here are so... well, they're not all deplorable or anything, but the Humane Society of MD is ironically extrememly INhumane. The woman who runs it is horrible! My vet told me that she basically took money from the society and used it to purchase a huge farmhouse for herself, under the pretense of using it to take care of more animals. Then, once she bought it, she decided that she wanted the house to herself and kept it that way. GAH! ::grumble::
Yeah, I can't eat ALL real Chinese food. Actually, most of the time I like the stuff resteraunts or buffets make. (Including Panda Express!). It's just when you're told it's something else that makes it really unsettling. Recently, one of my friends told me to check out the Rio Grande that was just built near where I live; i did, and it was awful! My mother is from Texas, so I like to think that I know what real TexMes stuff tastes like, and that was NOT it! Rawr. ^.^
