I have a nightblooming flower and I could smell it last night. It's after midnight but I'm all excited since it's the first time the nicotiana bloomed. Out I go camera in hand. There's a bit of glare on it from the flash but it's a very fragrant, simple but pretty flower Nicotiana and my deformed feet
And while I'm out there, I feel a cat rubbing on me. I look down to pet Roy but it's not Roy. It's another cat. She follows me to the door and darts inside. I catch her and it's a very starving nursing female. (I'm suspecting the babies are dead since as I examined her I could feel the fingers of my hand pushing on her left flank through the skin of the right. I'm not sure there's enough of her left to make milk). She's exceedingly friendly. I feed her then go back to my picture taking. Nicotiana and the new cat Later she knows where I am in the house and howls under the window trying to scale the wall to me. Poor thing.
She was out there this morning as I got back from my washed out trip to the fleamarket (damn rain). Her and Roy have no trouble sharing food so they're out there stuffing their furry faces. I don't know what to do with her. If the kittens are still alive, there's no shelter here that will take her. The no kill that works with my school will take her once the kittens are weaned so if she's still here then I'll take her there.
I think i'm turning into the crazy old cat lady.
