Only partially successful

I easily rounded up Mom and the boy kitten. The girl kitten however, refused to come. I tried for three hours. She's the most feral of the bunch. I thought about not taking any of them but they are weaned and mom seemed sick. She didn't greet me. She wouldn't eat. Hell, she didn't even care I captured her kids. I thought it best to just do what I could and get her and the boy to a safe place.

I put her and the boy in the bathroom while I stalked the girl but she wouldn't come out from under the porch and it stormed so it was far to wet for me to get under it. I'll try to get her in a live trap and just leave her in the bathroom until the shelter's open again (they'll take her) The boy unwound the entire roll of toilet paper, the little fiend.

The shelter is...i feel for them I do. I offered my students up as volunteers (hey you want extra credit...) The vets are in a politic-legal battle with each other and have the shelter over a barrel. She's even tried to get vets students from Athens (Ohio University is about 60-70 miles away) and the local vets threatened to withdraw all their help if she does that to get these cats neutered cheap. I'm scowling hard in the direction of these vets. I don't have their side of the story but the shelter's side makes me want to hit them with a board.

awwww kitties... cute with the toilet paper. Should have gotten that on film. Poor little things. There's politics even with vets and shelters? Oi!

I find the vets attitude abhorrent. Shouldn't helping animals come first?

that was my reaction. And I didn't dare tell her that in the county I live in (i'm on the border my town name is in her county but I live in the other) they DO do feral cat neutering but I'm sure they wont' cross the county line. I'm wondering if they can even keep the cat shelter alive

sadly he did the toilet paper thing when I was out of hte room. He was so mad.

yes it sucks. I'm thinking she'll be okay. I don't think she was that badly hurt in the fight but it was a bitching storm last night. She could be just worn out
