Kitty update

cornerofmadnessOMG No! Has no meaning to kittens. Witness said monster chewing on the blanket on the futon. have a feeling today will be spent racing around my house reminding myself why I swore after Iktomi i'd only ever get full grown cats....
But in any case, he's doing splendidly, yes he. Thought it was girl but he's shy about you looking back there unless of course HE wants to show you which he did plenty since his favorite place for sleeping on me is under my chin or in between my breasts (boys) (hee, he just knocked himself over hitting his head on the futon leg chasing a rubber band, better go take that away. WHERE did he find it?). There are no dust bunnies in my house now, no he's found them all and brought them forth.
If the sweet natured other brother was 'Alphonse' this misbehaved monster must be 'Ed' which is the only name he looks up at so...
He was quiet. All day. All night. except for a few short bursts that he saves for a game. He used the litter (yeah, I was hoping in a room full of papered flooring the other thing that looked like dirt would be where he went).
Our current favorite games include, chasing our tail while sitting in COM'S lap and digging our little razor sharp nails into her thighs while we do it and hiding under the futon and crying when he can't see COM but racing away every time she comes to look.
I'm pretty happy with him. He's still shy but I was expecting total wildness and rather he adores being held once you catch him which isn't too hard. His favorite sleeping place is behind the toilet. So he won't have to be destroyed. He'll make someone a good pet. I'll take him in tomorrow morning. Too bad I can't keep him.
ETA - Apparently litter is a toy and every electrical cord is meant to be chewed. if you don't hear from me assume the little terror has chewed through the computer cords and if that didn't kill him I have. Thank god he's finally asleep. This new icon is in honor of him

Date: 2006-06-26 03:16 pm (UTC)The problem is these are brand new apts @ two years old. the first tenant in teh apt next to me turned out to be a hoarded and had over a dozen cats and 6 months after opening, the apartment was condemned as a health hazard and he had to strip out EVERYTHING because she let her cats use the apt as a litterbox. I can see why he's gun shy but damn it...i love having pets
