soul/spirit drabbles

The first one is borderline naughty.
Xander – S 1 Pep Rally
He watched every flowing line, the bright flashes of color, hair flips and coy smiles, bobbling breasts underneath tight sweaters and skirts designed by someone who deserved prayer offerings left in their name. The thunder of feet slapping wood in unison, what more could a growing boy want on a boring school day afternoon? Gorgeous girls and missing class, this was what high school should be about.
“I’ve got spirit, yes I do. I’ve got spirit, how ‘bout you?” Cordy and the cheerleaders shouted.
Xander didn’t know if he had spirit or not but he certainly had a proud tent.
Darla – S3 – Unwanted
Darla ran a hand over her belly. She already had enough reasons to hate the creature growing inside her. She didn’t’ need another one. The invasive, creeping sense of doom ate at her bit by bit. A sweet gentle soul, who the hell needed that? Not her. She never missed her own soul. She didn’t need her child’s soul infecting her, ruining her peace, making her think better of killing people, even thought the baby was making her ravenous. She needed to be rid of this infection. A soul? What did it mean? And why did it make her afraid?
Angel & Connor – A Talk – Post NFA
“If you had only talked to me, trusted me a little, things would have been different,” Connor said over his coffee cup. “I know I didn’t’ exactly earn it but you kept too much hidden.”
Angel nodded. “I made a lot of mistakes.”
“You should have at least explained the soul situation to me. It changes everything,” Connor continued.
“I’m hoping it’s not too late.” Angel met his son’s gaze.
Connor chewed his lip. “It’s not. Now’s the time to try communicating, instead of talking.”
“Good point.” Angel sighed. Two-way communication, always a downfall in his circles. “I’ll try.”
