the
open_on_sunday prompt was for 'chill' appropriate given how cold it was here!!
Faith S 3 - Not Feeling It
There was something entirely wrong about this. Faith was convinced of it. Looking back at the bare strand of lights in the cheap ass hotel window, she had to admit there was definitely a non-homey feel to it. But that wasn’t what was bothering her. Faith was used to shoddy surroundings. That almost felt like home sadly enough. No, it was the lack of chill in the air. Palm trees didn’t equal Christmas. Who felt like singing carols while they were sweating? It didn’t feel like the holidays when it was eighty outside. She almost missed Boston and its bitter winds.
Buffy - Post NFA - Frozen
A horrible chill settled over as the phone clattered to the floor. They had been in trouble and she hadn’t even known. They both died without her. They had tried so hard to help her and her friends and she had let them die alone.
Buffy wrapped her arms around herself shivering so hard that her teeth clattered. She couldn’t even quantify the emptiness inside of her. Buffy felt hollow. She doubted she could ever be filled again, would never be warm. She wrapped herself in the chill, wanting to wear it as her hair shirt. She deserved it, didn’t she?
Angelus - 1700's Newborn
Why wouldn’t the disorientation end? The urge to dig bled out as he broke through the crust of the earth, his breath curling in the chill air. He wanted to take another deep breath to clear his lungs because he needed to. He had been holding it so long...only he didn’t feel the urge. He wanted to breathe; it was what nature demanded, only his didn’t.
Liam canted his eyes up, shocked to see the beautiful woman from the alley. He remembered the pain, the darkness. What had happened? Then the demon reasserted itself and doubts faded away.
Connor - Quor-Toth - Loneliness
Father hadn’t been home in days. Steven didn’t know when he would be back but probably not for several days more. It wasn’t all that unusual for Father to go. They had lucked into a nice shelter and they would need it soon once the weather really turned. The six year old knew he could protect their home until Father returned. He’d have to gather wood for the fire. There was a biting chill in the air. Steven liked fire, not just for the warmth. The sounds of the flames made him feel less alone, less frightened to be by himself.
