Another Snow Day that Wasn't

I'd like to know who was in charge of snow days last year when they'd call off for nothing and then chat with the new guy because once again every school in the tri-state along with several outpatient clinics are closed and we aren't. We are a commuter college. nearly 80% of our students commute. It snowed two inches over the ice with more to come. Smart move being the only ones open. Hell the day care the school runs wasn't even closed.

I took stock of the situation.
A) road completely unplowed
B) 18 wheelers fish tailing on the highway
C) no one is going to come anyhow
D)migraine is back with vomiting
E) sneezing like cold/allergies flaring up
F) that time of the month took off one day and decided to be that time of the month for a second week

Called in 'I'm SICK! Test will be on friday'

hung up phone realized the test's edits were still sitting on my desk undone. WTH? How could I hand write them in, bring them into the computer room then forget?

Glad I called off. It's worth burning a sick day and hell I really don't feel good so there.

but i do want to go make a snow angel

ETA - I got in another hour and a half of sleep...for what it was worth. Had a nightmare about waking up to find myself covered in ceiling plaster and wondering how I didn't hear it then just HAD to clean the whole house first before going to get the landlord

after talking with the head of the department my chances are slim to none. I have to do two presentations, one I can research and fake, the other, I can not. I don't do research. says so right on my resume. Making me do a presentation on my research is...this is going to be a crime. I should just cancel but i'm going to talk with the two researchers at school and see if I can't bluff and/or learn how to do something fast

Both our schools are morons. I was so glad I have all wheel drive. We had problems with ice yesterday and today the roads were lakes. (Thousand apologies to any pedestrians I might have sprayed!)
