After figuring out the infection was bacterial in nature (no you do not want to know how), I went to not-so-urgent care where i sat for an hour and a half being innudated by audtions for Coyote Ugly's tour group (wow, talk about inspid!) Luckily I took my work with me and got a lot done.

By then the fever had kicked in too (my nose looked like a clown nose). I have my yearly sinus infection with bronchitis. I got some antibiotics, decongestants and the best part my wonderful liquid bliss in a jar, codeine.

I'm ribbing mom that I'm allergic to her and dad. Every time I go home I get this. We always blamed dad's smoking but he hasn't smoked in 2 1/2 years. then they were blaming my Native American art work (lots of feathers and animal hair) for getting my allergies going. But I didn't sleep in that room this time. That just leaves being allergic to them.

Thanks for all the concern guys. Ah well, if evil_little_dog wasn't away at a wedding she'd be the first to comment with 'it's not a holiday if COM isn't in the ER.' So very very true.

ah well better get working on that lecture since i'm too high to write the exam

Ugh, sinus crud with bronchitis - I hate that stuff, but it sounds like you got all the good drugs so you'll be better in no time.

Well I hate to say this hon, but the only reason I didn't say anything is because I've, sadly, gotten used to seeing you're ill.

Bad as to this yearly sinus infection (which I used to do for like...forever...until I stopped taking my allergy meds) is it possible there's something in your parent's house that you're actually allergic to?

When you lived there....did you always get sick no matter what? Or perhaps you're actually allergic to that area? Oddly enough I've figured out I'm allergic to Missouri! I can go East....be fine...come back into Missouri and BAM allergy attacks.

allergies would have only the histamine components. this is definitely bacterial. But being asthmatic sets me up for it

Ah yes welcome to the "wonderful" world of asthma (heavy sarcasm) I have asthma as well, along with some really weird allergies. But I tend to ignore them, or refuse to let them get me down. And for the most part I'm doing alright. Even managed to beat a few allergies. YEAH!

Occasionally I get over stressed , gee ya think...widow has NO stressors in her life. *snort* And then my body will just smack me up the back of the head and down I go.

Ishte has helped me tremendously over the years in working through the health issues, and getting a positive outlook on life in general. As she kept pointing out, and I finally listened, believe it or not...Like Attracts Like.
