Because it's been a while. Had wanted to do some Goku birthday fanfic but being so sick put me behind. Poo.

On the other hand, Sorrow's Dark Array is thrilling me. Oh, it doesn't have the most readers ever but the ones who are reading and commenting are making me smile. Why? Because it would have been so easy to say 'yay Ed's back, now have him kick Dev (OC) to the curb' Instead they want to see realistic confrontation between the two. That means a lot. To me it means they actually like the OC. Most of us fan writers know that any more OC automatically mean Mary/Larry Sue whether or not it's true and people won't even read. I'm always thrilled to have someone like my OC's. And to have the reviewers call it realistic means a lot to me.

And FINALLY the original writing is kicking loose again. Usually I don't get much written in the winter. Part of it I think is Nano burn out and then the holidays. But Splinters of Silver and Cold Iron has been working well the last several weeks which is great since I'm almost out of new stuff to give my writer's group. I also got a bit more done on Until the Ice Breaks. I was shocked to have one of my temporarily abandoned novels, Burning Darkness, suddenly kick me in the brain so I looked it up last night. Frankly I thought it was more coherent than this but apparently I hallucinated that. It's all tiny fragments written for nanomowhinging and libraryofwinds and their prompts. Well, it's too rough to be useful but heck it's a first draft so that's expected. Though I think putting it together in coherent form will have to wait until after finals.

Heck I'm even writing the next chapter of Hyperion's Son and I actually LIKE it.

Yay to the writing stuff. I hope that when I'm no longer in pain and sleeping and stuff, maybe I'll be able to do that writing thing again, too.

The dreams are coming back at least, with Ed and Winry arguing about how he takes care of his automail. *laugh*

yay to the dreams. I'm kinda wondering what's up wiht me. My blood sugar is better but I can't stay awake. I could go to sleep right now. I've had to take a nap every day for two weeks. I guess maybe I'm still not 100% better
