How stupid can I get? I actually sent BOTH state and federal tax forms in WITHOUT my W2 form! I just saw it on the table. Blink blink. hmmm Oh. My. God.

Now obviously I have time to reprint out my taxes (thank god for computer generated tax forms) and send it in but you KNOW this is going to screw up everything.

Head desk.

I can NOT believe i did that. I mean I've been doing this for over two decades. I KNOW what I'm doing. Better yet, I tossed out the address for the IRS. Screams (it's not on the turbo tax generated form)

I was a tax idiot too this year. I put the wrong account number on the direct deposit thingie, causing all sorts of stupid issues. They're finally mailing me out a paper check this Friday.

Do not send the returns again. Cause they will process them twice and you will have a bigger mess.

You might want to check with the IRS about what to do. I would assume two options could work. A)Mail the w-2s with a letter explaining the error. or B)Wait until they contact you about the missing paperwork.

You should realize they already have the information on the W-2, your employer sent copies to the SSA back in January. It just may take it much longer to process your return

Hrm... on this.. I file my taxes myself with E-file, and have not had to actually physically send my W-2s for several years. So they may tell you a) that they're not necessary any more since they obviously do have the copy your employer sends in. or b) that you can fax of them to attn: abc person now. Since you're not expecting a return, I guess it's not a huge issue for you. And they'll probably be fine as long as they got your check. You did remember to enclose their check, right? haha!

You know i could have sent this in via email rfom turbo tax.

I did call them and I have to wait until they tell me that i forgot to send it and I'll need to send it with a special form.

In the meantime my loans can go blow me
