OOS prompt - slow, drabbles
Jul. 27th, 2008 03:30 pmGiles – 1970’s Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll
Comfortably Numb dribbled out of the phonograph, skipping once or twice over scratched vinyl. That’s what they all were, Giles thought dreamily. Wrapped up in clouds of sweet and acrid smoke, riding out the remains of acid and sex, they were all slow and sated, no one feeling the need to do much more than just relax on the floor. Wouldn’t his father be embarrassed if he could see this orgy of sex, drugs, rock and roll and magic? Giles didn’t care. He had his guitar, his friends, his own power now. So why did thoughts of duty haunt him?
Connor in Quor-Toth – Slow Kill
Father had taught him several things. If he wanted to just get rid of a demon, kill it fast. Don’t let it get a chance to hurt you back. But if you needed information, if you had to make a statement, then slow was the way to go. Make it bloody, make anyone who saw it recoil in fear. Steven learned his lessons well.
Still, there were times, with his hands stained by gore, sticky and smelling metallic, the boy wondered, frightened: Was this how Angelus killed? Did he enjoy it? Did this make him as bad as a vampire?
Connor/Faith – Post Series – wham bam
Slow and respectful, that’s what his father had taught him. That was the way to approach a lady. Connor had to wonder why it never seemed to work that way for him. Oh, in his altered memories, maybe it had but now that he remembered his true history, that wasn’t how things went with Cordy. But he kept trying to be a good boy. He had only meant to flirt with Faith in the alley after the demon-slaying. Somehow that turned into slam bang sex on a fire escape, leaving him dazed and happy about it. To hell with slow.
