Paul Newman died. That is depressing. I briefly met him once in a restaurant in Beacon NY when he was filming (Nobody's fool? Not sure on the title) Mostly just a hello and did NOT join the mob that flocked over to pester him. He handled them politely.

Because I ran late every day this week I had to go do laundry today. Bah. At least I got some of my novel written while doing that. I started geting a migraine AND I had to go to Hell-Mart on a weekend. To the fucktard in front of me in line: if you have items that you want to pay for SEPARATELY and need a gift receipt for do NOT mix them in with your other stuff and then wait for the cashier to ring them up then act like she's the idiot for not reading your mind. And then to pay with a check...you're luckily I didn't grind you under my buggy. To the lady behind me, thank yuo for being gracious about the whole coupon thing. Dear Wal-Mart why in the hell can't your machines read coupons right? Even with the cashiers OCD'ing and putting the coupons in after each item rung up you still say I didn't buy it. You are so made of fail.

Speaking of being made of fail...Wally have you even LOOKED at your clientele in this area? Bet you haven't. Haven't you ever wondered why you have to practically GIVE your clothes away at the end of the season. Why not try carrying something larger than a 3/4 and 5/6? Especially in the teen stuff which is where the fun halloween stuff was. Skull shirts with blinking built in lights? I would have bought many as gifts by allmy friends are real women with actual BOOBS. They won't fit into the anorexic sized clothing you stock (seriously not one thing was above a teen-large)

My parents are on their way to NC on vacation. Hopefully Kyle is on his way up north so mom isn't stuck in a beachside home staring at dad all day

Oh I've been meaning to share this [livejournal.com profile] chaos_by_design sent me an email about her PG Tips tea packets which claim it's a "delicious brew, fit for a monkey". Who knew Goku liked tea? Just made me smile

Adopt one today! (yeah he grew up but he looked so cool I wanted to share)

I still remember when you were first reading Saiyuki and complaining about the monkeys following you everywhere. Look at you now! ;)

I just wish Goku had better taste in tea; PG Tips isn't much better than Lipton, and I'm a bit of a tea snob (I likes my earl grey).

IKNOW. How did I come to love the monkey?

Don't say that too loud. Every one of the soccer players from the UK love me since i have that brand in my office. They stop over to beg for packets)

I dunno. He just has a way of stealing your heart and not giving it back. I blame his cuteness when he was 'young'.

Oh I know, my boss is British and when he sees that on my desk, he's probably going to flip.

Wal-Mart sucks for Halloween costumes/stuff. Pisses me off.

I went to the Dollar Tree and scored some neato spooky stuff: stickers to put on bottles (these are fake labels with things like "Embalming Fluid" written on them), general stickers, a plastic treat bag that I used as a shopping bag (it is SO cool!), and a box of Dr. Scar's body part chocolates. :D

If you sewed, you could get some of the skull shirts and make them into shopping bags. :)

i'll have eto try our Dollar tree

my sewing machine is back in PA. (it's getting hard for me to sew since i can't use scissors well thanks to the nerve damage)

Oh, I don't mind PG Tips. I'll drink it, it's just that I like Earl Grey much better.

I checked out that student loan money back thing, but I didn't sign up for it yet. I'd like to find out more how it works and where that money back comes from before I do..I"m worried it's a scam of some kind.

Actually, you do have one friend with no boobs who can wear anorexic-sized Goth clothes. However, our Wal-Mart seems to only carry 3XXL sizes and up, so while you can't fit one boob into the offerings at your store, I swim in the ones from mine. We obviously need to swap stores.

that's true. Want a halloween shirt with light up doodads for CHristmas?

Nah, that's okay.

I saw those bottle labels for sale in the Victorian Traders catalog and thought they were cool, by the way, but if Dollar Tree has them then hot damn. You need these things for your lab. You also need the black lace lamp shade drape with skulls worked into the lace. They're wonderfully Victorian at first glance, but then you realize, hmm...

Yeah, Bear and I are bummed about Paul Newman too. We became really big fans later in his life, after his charitable line of food products (which are excellent by the way). We use Newman's Own salad dressing like it was going out of style.

i can't get into the salad dressing. I can taste the preservatives (this is true of almost all b ut the marazetti ones found in teh cold section)

but i did buy his salsa today

You might want to try his "Olive Oil and Vinegar" one - it's all natural (no preservatives) and is our personal favorite. We use it for everything from salads to marinades.

The ingredients are: Olive oil, vegetable oil(soybean and/or canola), water, red wine vinegar, onion, spices, salt, garlic, lemon juice and distilled vinegar.

ah. see i can DO that in my own kitchen for a fraction of the cost (actually I DO make most of my own marinades and salad dressings from scratch.)

I won't argue with that - fresh (and homemade) is always better :)
