My students just accused me of getting high off their fear.

How did they know? Probably my diabolic laugh as they struggle or the big shit eating grin I suppose.

I need that laugh. Things at work just took an even worse dive.

I have been so busy lately, I almost don't log in to LJ, and when I do, I'm too tired to read much!!

Anyway....what is happening? Is it End-of-Semester Hell? 'Cause, that's its own special brand of hell.

On this front, I am confronting a student who plagiarized a HOMEWORK assignment - not even a major paper - worth 50 points; a remarkably lazy student whose excuse for not doing a paper due SEPTEMBER 8th, was that he was too busy. The paper was a one-paragraph hand-printed paper.......GAH!!!

They're gutting our insurance. They may gut tenure and frankly I think this college won't be a private university pretty soon and that the only part of it that will remain is the community college half
