Jaga is the reason that the Thundercats were able to reach Third Earth. Jaga is known as "Jaga the Wise." He is the persona of a jaguar. He was also once known as the greatest of all Thundercats. It was his job to look after the Lord's family, thus giving him the job of making sure Liono becomes the best leader he can be. This can be a bit difficult at times since Jaga is a spirit now because he died on the trip to Third Earth. It is his fault the Thundercats had to leave their planet as he threw the Sword of Plundarr into a chasm causing the planet to start exploding. Oops.

Jaga is a great guide for the team. He mostly appears to Liono giving him advice on how to become a good leader and use the Sword of Omens properly. He has a very royal ghostly presence. It can, however, be a bit startling when he just pops in on people.

Some things that Jaga might say include:

"Don't fret my loyal and faithful Snarf. It will take more than Mumm-Ra's evil magic to dim the Eye of Thundera."

"The Eye of Thundera, Liono! Use its power!"

"It's always easier to deal with dangers you know and understand."
