that's the title of a book by one of my coworkers, Heather Duda (part of her dissertation, I'm SO jealous of the media type majors their stuff is so fun). Lots of Buffy references. I think a lot of you might like it. She gave a lecture on it at the library today. Naturally first we went out, Dakota's has half price appetizers and 1.50$ margaritas at happy hour. I'm now full of fried spicy pickles, margaritas and prime rib.
The talk was very interesting and very well attended. And naturally it helps to have an audience versed in the topic matter (one Twilight person DID get offended by the librarian but honestly who cares, no matter how many times she's read the series, Stephen King is right, it's dreck).
The only draw back to any of you going to Amazon and getting the book is this slim volume doesn't have a slim price tag. It's 35$. Keeping my eye on the used versions (and will probably read hte library's copy)
Speaking of the library, I picked up The Watchmen and am rereading. It's been ages, like since it came out in the 80's I'm not sure i liked it back then...then again I'm sure I've blogged this recently...
ah well it's still happy hour here..
