Connor wasn’t sure who had strapped the rocket to his ass but someone surely had. It didn’t seem possible twenty years had passed since he had reentered his father’s orbit. With the help of The 12 step Buddha, Connor had managed to stay clean and sober while embracing a philosophy that both his parents had been intrigued by.

Twenty years…Joshua had made Gunn a very proud granddaddy. Hell, Connor’s own daughter was entering her freshman year of college as a biology major. He missed having his little ‘blue eyes’ around the house. They had been twenty good years.

And twenty hard ones. Demons never took a holiday. Giles had passed on quietly in his sleep. Spike had been killed in New Orleans but it was Angel Connor worried about. Buffy was in her fifties now, her hair turning white while her lover remained as ageless as ever. At least in L.A., no one looked twice at a woman her age having a young buck like Angel around the house. As for Connor, he still looked barely older than his child, no doubt his demon blood. The idea that one day it would just be him and Angel disturbed him so he chose to think more on the happy things, like Caitlin’s joy at her crappy dorm room.
