Spent earth hour yapping at Verizon. All day my internet had been falling out. I thought it was earthlink's sucky service until Mom called. Yeah, it was the phone line. It cut off. sounded like a fax. sounded like a busy signal, sounded like nothing at all. The cell phone couldn't maintain a connection but after hearing Verizon tell me there's nothing wrong, I just went and pulled the lines out of hte jacks and let them rest. It helped...somewhat. It's still not right. (btw have I mentioned recently how much I LOATHE verizon. I cried when i learned they were my only phone option here)

SO if you don't hear from me or see me on IM that's why.

sort of ruined mom's night. (well it wasn't good to begin with, since she had two funerals to go to). Was working on my lectures and did some research on ovarian cancer. She had a hysterectomy years ago but they left the ovaries (for very many reasons) but a lot of her 'gastric' symptoms are the symptoms of ovarian cancer.

So let me list them here, bloated stomach, constipation/diarrhea, 'gas pains' that keep coming back time and again, might want to look into that as well as a GI cause. (and we STILL have no real good test for ovarian cancer)

On a more lighthearted note - seen on a girl's t-shirt, 'it's a girl's world. We just let boys live in it' (that said it was on a really young girl which made it sort of disturbing)

ANd someone on the on ramp to I-32, did a hand made sign series (ala brillo cream from the 50's) on poster board reading - put your - heart on - the floor. Yeah no clue.
