i had some but making exams killed them

Does anyone know a good way to get ticks out of your house? Yes, i have to frontline the cats (i just DID and it's not been three weeks and it's doing squat) They're everywhere. I've never seen anything this horrid.

um...okay, I liked it but now THIS felt rushed. It's like they tried to cram an entire volume into one show.

I didn't care for how the kids were animated, especially side views

I also have no idea why they felt it necessary to change the history on one significant point. Why make Winry's parents still alive when Trisha died?

Now what did I like? The meeting with the gate was very neat

I did like that they put in the actual state alchemy exam, though I wish they wouldn't have shortcut around the fact Ed noticed Roy didn't give a rat's ass that he tried to stab the Fuhrer and calling Roy out for not hiding it better. Loved the expression on Ed's face a) when he realized the Fuhrer had used his sword without him even seeing (Bradley IS cool that way ) b) when he got his new name, now that's a face to fear

I loved the Riza and Winry scene. (not too fond of Riza's VA though) Also happy with the Ed/Win moments.

And Roy's animation is gorgeous. He very much looks Xingese now though (yes I always thought he was but now he looks it even more)

Yes, you said pretty much the same thing I did, though I wonder why a few other minor things were changed as well.

I did like that we get to see Winry's dislike of the idea of Ed leaving Rezembool. That was interesting, as we don't ever see it anywhere else.

I can't help your tick problem but yuck!

If you have ticks in your house you may need to call in help. In the mean time, I would add a flea and tick collar to your vacuum bag and call your vet for suggestions. Flea and tick repellents can be very toxic to you and your pets, so you don't want to go overboard with the at home products.

For episode 2: I haven't read the manga so I can't compare, but this episode did feel very rushed to me. I wish they would have spent more time at the exam and in Risembool (Rezembul, how is that spelled?). I'm hoping that once they get us a bit further in to the story that things slow down a bit. The art style is different but I am enjoying it. Even Ed's hair is growing on me. ^_^

Yeah there are some definite positives and negatives...and yeah, now that you bring it up I did want to see the Roy/Ed scene where the bring up Roy not caring that Bradley might've been slaughtered by Ed. That scene definitely made me chuckle in the manga and I'm kinda missing it in the new anime...:(

I have no advice for those but the usual: declutter, vacuum everyday and dope the pets. That was our approach during our big flea infestation (remember that? *yeeesh*)

Can't help with the ticks. My Pinky used to pick them in the park, but luckily they never hatched at home.

The eppy did seem rushed. I guess they thought that since 90% of the viewers would be FMA fans, they'd know the backstory alreasy. I'm hoping they won't do the same with other 'obvious' plot scenes.

Both you and ELD mention a missing scene with Roy. It does sounds interesting. And yeah, Ed's face when he discovers that Bradley had beaten him - heeeeh!

i think my problem is Kyo is long furred and he's carrying them in. They aren't biting him and dying, just hitching a damn ride.

yeah it was rushed, really rushed. I'm still not happy with the changes to the manga history (or even anime #1's history for that matter)

he was an outdoor stray when i got him and he tears up the wall if I don't let him out so.... I do try to keep him in

Roy is dark and short haired. he only gets a few ticks

Kyo is pale and long haired nad he just carries them in by the dozens.

I don't think you can safely shave a cat but i could b e wrong

I would have a professional groom him, though if he was a stray I wonder what his tolerance level would be (sedation grooming at the vet can run very high $$). I only groom a few cats as they are too stressful for me if they don't behave.
