FAIL

everything seems made of fail right now, frankly but luckily it's mostly not affecting me. I haven't been posting much since what would I say? Grading exams and praying I don't float away. It is RAINING. Heck I should make that in bigger font to truly convey just how much water we're getting. Last night I got home and my huge tomato pots were overflowing in spite of having several inches of standing water in them AND having massive drain holes IN the pots.

Fail #1 - the cats, in general. Roy is acting insane (even Van, the old dude who shares Roy with me has noticed), Kyo bit a nice hole over my Achilles. brat.

Fail #2 - My moron neighbors are having a yard sale. Okay you have to understand I live down in the hollow with no one around, barely visible from the road and the courtyard where they're at is NOT visible period. Yesterday they were out,not on the covered porch but in the grass in spite of the fact that 9:30 AM looked like 9:30 PM. That's how dark the storm clouds were. These idiots (and trust me they are. I do NOT l ike them. They let their very young kids stay up playing barely supervised in the courtyard after midnight) also didn't put up a single sign on the highway. Today it's STILL raining. They're sitting out in it as I type this, everything uncovered and getting wet. Today there was one sign on the highway in ballpoint ink and it looked like their 5 year old did it.

Fail #3 - This rain. I wanted to go to the Dublin Irish Festival today since it's great. Seriously, if you're in the Columbus area, that's a helluva festival, some really big names in Celtic music show up. Needless to say I didn't go. If it's supposed to storm tomorrow I still won't go. It's 100 miles for me to get there. Hope it stays these cooler temps (low 80's) if it does since i'll be able to do more

Fail #4 Students who can't use common sense

Fail #5 People and electronics. Today at the library I had to help three people figure out how to use the copier, one kept trying to shove a dollar in the change slot and had no idea how to use the dollar taker and one asked me 'do you know how to get on the internet' and didn't know what to do once i showed her the big blue E....and these weren't old guys who were working in the age before this sort of technology...

Fail #6 - My own personal fail. I showed my test results to my GP today. My endocrinologist wanted me to do an experiment take 2 units of insulin every hour then record my sugar. I'm FILLED with little bruised pin pricks and the upshot was, it didn't matter. My body ignored the insulin and only lowered my sugar when i ate. Doc TT looked at that and said you are WEIRD. We both laughed.

Good Thing #1 - I did get referrals to two other doctors and a physical therapist for my back, sinuses and skin

Good Thing #2 - I did a lot of retail therapy on line yesterday. Can't wait to dig into that green tea sampler (okay I sent it to mom for a belated Mother's day gift since her original one got back ordered then canceled, but i'm going home in a week so...)

Failt #7 - Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's check out. It faulted out four times last night so no money for them. I'll try again today.

Fail #8 - managing to get like the only two policemen in Jackson to pull you over (I had no idea we HAD a K-9 unit) in the library parking lot and have the gall to sit there and argue you have no drugs while that dog is going nuts (this rather amused me actually). ETA THIS IS NOT ME. THis is some dirtbag. I was standing there pointing and giggling from the laundromat with the rest of the dirtbags that seem to collect there

# 4 is kind of a given ya? Just because some people are given badges doesn't make them smart. Hope all the medical drama goes smoother for you.

#8: The dog probably smelled the cat on your clothes. ;-P

Stay inside, have some tea, enjoy the rain, and laugh at the idiot neighbors getting soaked. ::hugs::

Sounds like you could have used those drugs today. I take it they eventually realized you had nothing?

You guys really have been getting way too much rain, and I totally sympathize. We get it like that here too, until our yard is a muddy mosh pit. It always seems to come in feast or famine - Way too much or far too little.
