FMA 98 is out which is only sort of happy



I was very ho hum with this. It's been said that a 'clash of Titans' is ultimately rather boring because they're so superpowered it's hard to care. That's exactly how I felt about this chapter. I honestly couldn't care about the fight between Bradley and Greed. they're both super powerful and it wasn't that stimulating to slog through. I ended up skimming and hoping not to miss much.

Now, next time with Mr. Fuu up against Bradley, THAT will be more interesting to see.

Mustang's Men running to blame Armstrong, it had better be some agreed upon plot because honestly if it's going to come down to Olivia vs Roy I will be pissed. I didn't like this assigning blame at all.

I did like Izumi's speech. That was very nice.

I REALLY got ticked with Riza and Ed, but Riza more so. Ed's still a kid and they see things in black and white moreso than adults.I'm sorry, I don't care how many times you say it, trying to kill Envy is not different than trying to kill Lust. Envy needed to die. Again if Roy had been trying to kill civilians etc to get to envy that would be different but the meaningless intervention didn't work for me a few chapters ago and it still doesn't. If Roy was meant to come across as lost, it failed. Maybe if he had threatened Ed BEFOER the intervention I'd feel differently. I'm rather glad Scar met her with indifference.

Or maybe I'm just disappointed with Roy on the cover, there wasn't more Roy and Ed and the rest than a few panels. She could have cut half Wrath vd Greed and I wouldn't have cared.

I liked Wrath vs. Greed - especially since Greed's more human side was showing. I thought that was a nice touch.

Greed has always had the most human nature of them all. I didn't mind that b ut felt it went on way too long and not in any interestnig way. too bad his men missed Bradley killing others of his men.

I wasn' too thrilled myself with everything. In the end it was a really pointless chapter other then to show some central soldiers going against orders for the sake of loved ones which is such an over done point, to show bradlys ruthlessness at killing his own men but readers already knew that. Sure it brought about Fuus arrival and Roy and Ed running into that fellow. The one thing I did like was the way that fellow that had twisted the alchemic teachings Izumi taught Al and ed at a young age into something completely perverse. Its completely how humanity can be at times. Twisting undeniable things to suit our current mindset, problems, and ideals.
