Mom and dad went to a pow wow today. Dad spent a lot of time talking to one fancy dancer which he then told me all about (a Blackfoot). There was another dancer who had a tattoo from shoulder to wrist that spiraled around his arm in Elvish or so dad thought.

Me: that's possible or Klingon

Dad: No, it was Elvish, like on LoTR. I know what Klingon looks like and this wasn't Klingon. (pause) That says a lot about me, doesn't it?

Me: Yes dad.


Speaking of geekery, I didn't feel well enough to truck all the way to Huntington to use up those Borders Bucks from last time but now you can use them on line. Oh good. I picked up enough Manga to qualify for free shipping. The weird thing was 07 Ghost #4 was for sale but NOT in stores (and it's backordered in spite of coming out last month). Is really wondering why. Betting that it didn't sell well enough. It's getting a little annoying this year. It's getting harder to get NEW manga. They're only carrying the big sellers and while I get that they need to make a profit, I'm surprised they're not expanding just a bit.
