cornerofmadnessWe had our nano kick off tonight because Athens is a major drunkfest over Halloween and since Halloween is on a weekend this time, it would have been bad.
I wanted to go in to town to eat first. Had a long-ass meeting and didn't get to Athens until 10 minutes before the meeting. WAILS. I had coffee for dinner. Meeting my local nanoers was fun. Some I remember from last year and they really are a fun crowd. I'm excited to see snippets of everyone's work, I really am. We're almost all fantasy/horror/SF writers.
Also I really like Athens. It has a nice feel to the town. Also as we were hiking back to the parking garage (parking DOES blow though) I was thrilled to have others as disappointed as I was that it was warm enough to not need a jacket. Other cold-lovers. WHEE.
On the walk to the garage I saw Jesus. He was standing outside of the Donkey Coffee Bar smoking. Reminded me of that song You Found Me
I hit the Krogers afterwards to pick up some prepackaged sushi to take to my parasitology class to see who'll eat a piece for extra credit. We're talking the 10 meter tape worms and the liver flukes you can get from sushi in class. Is that mean? Probably but it makes me smile.
