Yes, very true. No child left behind was an idea that makes sense only in the rose colored Candy Mountain world of ShouldBe. In the real world, some kids just aren't as good at, for example, math, or shop class, or P.E., or in my case any of those. We should give all kids equal opportunity, but to say they can all perform equally in all areas of education flies in the face of reality. Throwing stuff at people with letting them earn it does them a disservice, no matter what the circumstances.
