Snowflake Challenge Day one

I'm slow getting off the mark this year but that's because I'm working on a new class starting next week and in seven days there have been four deaths in my friends and family circle. Yeah I know. Surreal and sad.
Day 1 - Talk about why you're participating in Snowflake.
I've done this challenge for the past few years. I guess I enjoy talking about myself. this isn't my primary fandom journal and it tends to languish except at the holidays. Outside of
I like this challenge since almost everything I do is fandom based. I would like to do other things too as much as I love fandom.
I'm playing catch up with the challenge. Today is Day 7, share a bit of canon. I'm not sure what canon I'm supposed to share but here goes Both of my first celebrity 'boyfriends' have died on screen. I was devestated when Spock died in Wrath of Kahn and today I watched Han Solo die.
When Spock died, Mom and I bawled like babies. Today, when Han died, Mom and I got angry. That's a very interesting paralleled reactions to the same event if you think about it. In the 80s we cried, today we're mad. I'm not sure what that means.
We were also grateful when Spock was reborn. Neither of us wants to see Han reborn simply because it would make no sense.
so that's my fandom share. The two characters I loved most died.

I hope that the rest of the month is not as dark as the beginning has been.

and thanks again.
